Welcome Graduates!

The Association of Graduates and your local chapter continues to monitor the Corona Virus. Our main priority is making sure everyone stays safe and healthy. This situation is different than anything we have experienced. While you may be limited on what you can do for your community, you can still keep everyone connected, support your local graduates and their families, and be a force for service.  Below are some resources and ways you can help and stay connected during this time.

Become a Grad Mentor

Looking for a way to help the cadet community? We are looking for Grads to serve as mentors by connecting with cadets on ZoomieLink and share their experience of life after the Academy.

By signing up we will we do our best in matching you with a cadet that has a similar career path, major or location.

Letters of Encouragement

Many cadets' experiences are looking different than expected and they are facing new challenges.

Help us remind the cadet community that they are not alone by sending them a letter of encouragement. If you feel alone, remember you aren't.

Support USAFA Family Businesses

Many Academy graduate and USAFA family-owned businesses are struggling right now due to the global pandemic. We're building a list of businesses that could use some help from the Academy family community.

Stay Informed from USAFA

The Academy has a wide range or support resources and services available to cadets. Remind your cadet - we're here to help!

Graduation Updates

Graduation Week for the Class of 2020, and the 62nd Graduating Class begins on Monday April 13 and concludes with the Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, April 18.

As more information comes available, we will update and share.

SERVE YOUR COMMUNITY

In the last couple of weeks, our daily routines and lives have been greatly impacted by the COVID-19. Now more than ever we need to be a force for service and support our Air Force Family and local communities. Most importantly, you need to take care of your own health so that you can help others. However, if you are able to help here are some ways you can help:

  • Join ZoomieLink and mentor current cadets.
  • Reach out to neighbors, classmates and loved ones. Many individuals are quarantined. It certainly gets lonely staying home. Many folks would appreciate a call from some checking in on them and asking how they are doing.
  • Take a few moments to write letters to health care workers who are working on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. A few words of encouragement would mean a lot to these national heroes.
  • While we urge you not to visit each other, offering to drop off groceries, supplies, or medications on the front step for some of your more vulnerable neighbors or loved ones is okay as long as you take precautions and you are not sick.
  • Collect canned foods or supplies for the local food banks (keep your distance when dropping off).
  • Many schools are closing, but the parents are still working. Homeschooling and working is not going to be easy! You can help virtually assist families by setting up video tutoring for the kids. In addition, you can reach out to local schools to see if they need online tutors or support as they transition to online school.
  • Support small and local businesses by ordering take-out or pickup.
